Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer  

10 Hours per week (45 Hours per month)
Salary: Spinal Points SCP 24 (£17.79 per hour) – 28 (£19.66 per hour)
(£34,314 - £37,938 pro rata) subject to experience and qualifications,
plus eligibility to join NEST Pension Scheme.

St Tudy Parish Council is looking for a self-motivated, dedicated and proactive Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer to help ensure the smooth running of the council. The position is for 10 hours per week, split between home working and attendance at meetings. The Clerk is responsible for managing the Council's day-to-day business, providing advice and implementing decisions. Management of the council's finances and resources including a new community cemetery and public toilets. The council is looking for someone with proven strong administration, finance and interpersonal skills, an ability to advise the council on the statutory frameworks within which it operates and be able to prioritise their work.

NOTICE OF VACANCY IN OFFICE OF COUNCILLOR

St Tudy Parish Council

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN

pursuant to Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that, following the resignation of Carole Bacon, a casual vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for the above Parish Council. 

If by 27 August, 2026 (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Good Friday and Bank Holidays, after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill said vacancy is made in writing (by hand or post) to the Proper Officer at the address below by TEN electors* for the said Parish, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option. 


If an election is called, it will take place not later than 30 October 2026.
